What would you do if you knew you couldn’t fail? This workshop will help you notice patterns that keep you from taking action and attaining your goals. Learn how to bust procrastination and build momentum in your personal and professional life, and find out how you can leverage that in your community.

In this thought-provoking plenary session, seven dynamic and local individuals will each speak for 7 minutes to share their vision for this year’s GenNext Talks theme. Their challenge? Igniting passions and inspiring ideas on how YOU can Build a Better Winnipeg?

Pamela Roz


Pam's longest relationship is and always will be with music. Through this passion, she was drawn to radio over a decade ago and hasn't looked back since. While learning the ins & outs radio, Pamela has also spent the past few years building her own publicity business, Pamela Roz PR, helping Manitoba-based artists/bands, theatre companies, brands, events & organizations gain the coverage they require for their product. Pamela also continues to build her skills in social media, voiceover, journalism, interviewing, event planning, event hosting and radio tracking.

Pamela Roz has spent much of her life volunteering for various organizations including, most recently, United Way Winnipeg's GenNext, Canadian Beats Media, North Kildonan Community Players, Crosswalk Productions and BS Comedy Players

Jean-Marc Lafond

Jean-Marc has been part of Winnipeg's theatre and heritage communities for over twenty years. He is credited for performing and Directing in a number of performances all over the city and has worked with Manitoba Opera in makeup as well as Winnipeg's own Gilbert and Sullivan society and designed the Makeup for Rainbow Stage's "Shrek the Musical" in 2016. Jean-Marc is also a long time enthusiast of sharing Winnipeg's exciting heritage through Fort Gibraltar, The Saint-Boniface Museum and The Forks National Historic site
